Today, DoggyWarriors turns six! 🥳
Six years ago, I never imagined that we would still be here today, helping small dog charities across the UK and changing the lives of thousands of rescue dogs.
If there is one word that sums up this anniversary, it is grateful.
Grateful that, six years on, we are still able to support the smaller rescue centres that often receive little recognition but do extraordinary work every single day.
Grateful for every subscriber who has chosen to play #DoggyLottery, every charity that has trusted us, every person who has shared our posts and every supporter who believes that every dog deserves a second chance.
Together, we have now raised more than £166,000 for over 100 small dog charities across the UK, helping thousands of rescue dogs receive the care, treatment, rehabilitation and second chances they deserve.
Every pound has helped provide food, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, transport, specialist care and, most importantly, hope for dogs who desperately needed it.
This past year has brought some incredibly special moments.
We had the opportunity to be the Lead Partner for Woof Wag Festival 2026 at Wicksteed Park. It was a brilliant day dedicated to dogs, bringing together activities, expert talks, wellbeing support and family-friendly fun, all centred around a shared love of dogs.
Earlier this year, I was also deeply honoured to be awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for Services to Animal Welfare Charities.
While my name may be attached to the medal, it represents something far bigger than one person. It belongs to this incredible community and everyone who has helped make DoggyWarriors what it is today.
Six years later, our mission remains the same.
We are still supporting the smaller rescue centres doing extraordinary work across the UK. We are still helping rescue dogs receive the care, treatment and second chances they deserve. And we are still proving what a community of dog lovers can achieve when they come together.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey.
