AA Dog Rescue is dedicated to saving 'pound dogs'. These are dogs who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves placed in council pounds where they have 7 days in which to be claimed or go into rescue.
Unfortunately, there are only so many rescue spaces available and when their 7 days are up, if they are still there, they are put to sleep at the pound! We do our utmost to get them out, but dogs are being put to sleep by the pounds at an average of 200 dogs per day!
Please help us to help them!!! The lucky ones that we do get are fully assessed, neutered, vaccinated and chipped.
An adoption fee will apply. Every time someone adopts a dog, it means we can save another!

We operate from foster homes mainly around Swadlincote (some in Northamptonshire). We are all volunteers and we receive no funding to help run the rescue, we rely solely on donations and our regular fundraising efforts to fund the treatment for the animals in our care.

Founded in 1993 we have been rescuing stray dogs for over 22 years and are still as committed today as we always have been. With so many abandoned and unwanted dogs entering kennels every day we are committed to finding loving homes for all of our dogs. We are a no-kill shelter who believe that second hand dogs make first class friends, and we work around the clock to raise funds to care for the dogs in our care while we search for their perfect forever home.
All of the money we raise goes directly to our charity, but we can only carry on the work we do with the help of people’s generosity. We do not claim expenses for our work, our payment is seeing the dogs in our care transferred to a forever home and becoming part of a family where they are loved.

There are around 30 volunteers who help with a whole variety of jobs within the rescue including fundraising, fostering, as well as helping with the important job of vetting applicants, and pre-adoption home checks. Our goal is to help rehome and provide a happy ending for these dogs and cats.
For more details, use the links below to visit their website and social media channels.

All of the dogs who come into our care are fully assessed on arrival, they are all neutered (age/health permitting) microchipped, flea and wormed and are only rehomed when they are ready, into a suitable environment for that specific dog. We offer full rescue back up for life for all dogs, this gives the owners peace of mind that if for any reason they require help, we will be on hand to help.
Our team is made up of volunteers who dedicate their time to help raise awareness of the northern breeds along with helping fundraise at our many events throughout the year.

In the shelters overcrowding, hunger, disease and fights are commonplace. The only possible way to escape this hell is to find a suitable adopter, likely in a foreign country. Our dedicated team of unpaid carers have been haunted by the plight of Romanian dogs and are committed to doing everything we possibly can for these poor souls. We work with Romanian rescuers who we know and trust, supporting them through rehoming and donations. Over the last few years we have all fostered, adopted, and raised funds for many Romanian dogs.

We have our own shelter there called Happy Tails where our dogs can acclimatise to life and our volunteers can help them adjust and rehabilitate to prepare them for their journey to their new homes. Here the dogs can recover from the stress of living on the streets and spend much needed time in a safe environment getting any veterinary treatment they might need, plus regular meals, warmth, and TLC, which is provided by our caring volunteers until the dogs are ready to travel to their new homes in the UK. We provide full rescue back up for all our dogs and work closely with our adopters to give them ongoing support and advice for as long as the dog remains with them. One of our team members is always available to help.

Our main aim is neutering of strays and owned dogs to stop breeding of unwanted puppies, improve the life of chain dogs (doorbell dogs) and educate the youth to learn to care better for animals! Nevertheless there are always a few lonely souls that need TLC and a home! We have many projects planned to help to encourage people to improve the welfare of their dogs.
To enable us to succeed we need your help. By donating you are enabling us to neuter the dogs of Smilyan in Bulgaria and the surrounding villages, run the education program in the school and set up a sponsorship program for locally owned dogs, as well as the re-homing of our rescues.
With your help we can keep going!

Established in 1992, we serve the population of Bristol, taking care of unwanted cats and dogs and help to rescue animals at risk of being euthanised in pounds throughout the UK. It is our mission to turn every sad story into a positive one, and give every animal in our care a second chance at happiness and their forever home.

Ollie was rescued in the autumn of 2017 by a local lady from Harbin’s meat markets after 4 years of medical testing. She contacted Harbin SHS as she was concerned that Ollie and 2 other disabled poodles that she had rescued would not survive Harbin’s harsh winters of sub 20 degrees in her exposed shelter. Harbin SHS took Ollie in and discovered that he had severe muscle atrophy, spinal curvature and badly deformed limbs.
On the 19th October 2017, Gabrielle Gardiner and Christopher Sheehan from Northern Ireland decided that they had to help. After a lot of research, they contacted Harbin SHS to get Ollie to the UK for the care he needed. Gabrielle and Chris did not yet know it but they were about to become founders of Doggy 911 Rescue (now renamed Little China Dog Rescue) with a passion to help more dogs like Ollie.
Our Mission
To find safe and loving homes in the UK and Ireland for dogs rescued from the most horrific of scenarios including slaughterhouses, meat trucks and medical testing facilities. We also aim to provide advanced veterinary care for our rescue dogs in foster homes who require (but not limited to) neurology, orthopaedics and cardiology; using specialists who are world and European leading.

We have two sites, one in Dartford, Kent which concentrates on our dog rescue, where we hold about forty dogs at a time and the other is our Sanctuary site in Herne Bay, Kent. Our Sanctuary site looks after about four hundred animals at a time ranging from dogs, cats, small domestics and wildlife to birds, goats, cows, sheep, pigs and horses. We occasionally rehome animals that we consider rehomeable but often act as the middleman between immediate danger and rescue spaces.
We work alongside a vast pool of other rescue organisations to make safe as many animals as we can. New Hope has no paid staff, including its founders who work full time to cover as much cost as possible. We are always in need of donations to cover a vast array of expenses that are incurred including food, bedding, enormous vet bills, kennel bills, transport costs and continuous improvement of animal housing and sites.

We can only help the dogs with donations and all help is greatly appreciated.

K9 Crusaders accepts all dogs, including those who may have been rejected by other rescues as they have issues which make them difficult to rehome. They never put a healthy dog to sleep so dogs remain part of the K9 crew family until they are ready to move on to a new life.

We normally re-home around 100+ dogs each year. At any one time we have around 50 dogs in our care, in our centre in Cheadle, as well as foster homes or in holding kennels awaiting suitable foster or adoption homes. We operate on a national basis so our dogs can be homed in most areas throughout the UK.
As part of our responsible re-homing process, we try to match our dogs to potential families, we normally organise several face-to-face meetings and home visits before they go to their forever homes, which has significantly reduced the number of dogs coming back into rescue and increased our successful adoptions creating extremely happy families.

In the years Animals In Need has been established, we have acquired a fully equipped animal ambulance, two water crafts and trailers for transportation, plus the usual first aid essentials. Although our first aid equipment is adequate it is regularly updated to current standards.
Animals In Need is a rescue organization run by 8 members of staff and a team of volunteers, attending animal casualties in the Northamptonshire area. We attend to both domestic and wild animals, and in 1999 were asked by Northamptonshire Police to work with them attending road traffic accidents and out of hours emergencies.
Feeding and caring for the injured animals we rescue is most important especially in cases of young orphaned birds, which need hand feeding every hour from dawn till dusk. Also young hedgehogs which haven’t reached the required weight to survive hibernation over the winter months, need to be kept warm and fed as do swans that have incurred injuries, many from fishing tackle that they have swallowed or become entangled in. Please if you bring in wildlife or collect hedgehogs after we have rehabilitated them, perhaps you would be kind enough to consider setting up a standing order or making a one-off donation to help towards food and vet bills – we are totally reliant on donations and receive no government funding.
Our continued dedication to the animals has resulted with us teaming up with the amazing dog trainer Nathan Watson. Nathan successfully runs Restart4Rescues and this programme is offered to anyone who rehomes a dog from us here to help provide support and information in those first important few weeks when settling a rescue dog into your home.

Our organisation is run by a team of volunteers at our kennels in Longcross, Surrey, and we have lots of fosterers in other UK locations.
Not only do we bring abandoned dogs from Romania to the UK for a better life, we also support rescues in Romania who save dogs from the cruelty and neglect of kill-shelters by providing food, medication, neutering programs and other essential support.
Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome as many of the these dogs as possible. We have rehomed over 1,000 dogs since the organisation was launched, but there is so much more to do.

We have a hands-on team in Romania at our shelters in Constanta and Calarasi, where we care for around 500 dogs and puppies, many of whom have been rescued from unimaginable abuse and neglect.
We also provide food, vet care and support to two other shelters in Romania. In total, we feed more than 500 dogs every single day. We aim to rehome as many of the saved dogs as we can.
In the UK, we have a team of volunteer adoption specialists working with potential adopters and foster carers across the country. Although we aim to rehome as many of the saved dogs as we can, some unfortunately will never be suitable to make that journey.

All of our dogs are in foster, not kennels, as we believe that dogs thrive best in loving homes. We specialise in small breeds, but we do take larger dogs from time to time when we have suitable foster space. We spend time with our dogs, sorting out any medical problems that we find, and carrying out training to help them overcome any behavioural issues that they may have.
We pride ourselves in sending our dogs out to their new homes better able to face the world than when they came in. We advocate only force-free training methods. Our work is truly a labour of love, and it's only made possible with the help and generosity of our supporters – we thank all of you for your support.

We have a small trustworthy team who started the rescue as we are dedicated to improving animals lives and finding them suitable forever homes. We hold a strict no kill policy as we believe a dog should not be euthanised due to being let down by humans and that every dog deserves a chance. Timothy loved animals, especially dogs and wanted to start a dog rescue centre in Spain. Unfortunately, that dream never became a reality when Timothy suddenly died at the young age of 27.
Cindi therefore decided to do it alone with the help of her eldest daughter Zoe who at the time was just a young teenager. Ever since losing Timothy, Cindi has devoted her entire life and time to dogs that really need her help.

We try to help the dogs who are often overlooked due to many reasons. Such as those with injuries, missing limbs, distemper survivors – and the dogs who don’t get noticed such as the black dogs, middle ages and middle sized.
Since we began, we have found forever homes for over 700 animals, we utilise foster homes within the UK for those dogs who have extra needs and require extra care to settle to living in a home in the UK.

Much of our work is with abandoned abused and neglected dogs, and with puppies rejected by other organisations. The sanctuary is able to offer them the rich social experience, mixing with people and other dogs which is essential for their development. We find homes both locally and in other parts of the UK as this enables us to increase the number we can help. However to do this we need increased support. To ensure our dogs go to loving owners, all new homes must be vetted and/or references may also be required.
We are a small, family-run rescue without any paid staff, providing safety and sanctuary to dogs who have been to hell and back, having strangers around is stressful and unsettling for them, so we are unable to invite visitors to the sanctuary prior to vetting & without an appointment.
All of our dogs for adoption will have been neutered if old enough, and deemed fit enough, by our vet and come with four weeks free insurance cover. We ask for a set donation on adoption towards our many costs which enables us to continue our work and to help other dogs. Full lifetime support and back up is provided for every dog. They must be returned to Lizzie’s Barn at any time should the new owner be unable to care for them, and an undertaking by the owner to do so forms part of our adoption agreement.

Our objectives are to promote the welfare of ill-treated, abandoned and homeless animals in the area. To also provide advice, support and education to the general public in all matters concerning the welfare of domestic pets. Our aim is to take domestic animals into care and restore their faith in human nature so that they are ready to move on to new homes.
We deal with health and behavioural problems as far as is possible, using our experience for both cats and dogs which, over the years, has proved very successful. Sometimes it just takes care, understanding, and a little time.
We look to place them with families who understand their individual needs. This is in the hope that a “FOREVER HOME” is found for every animal passing through our hands.

We are a non-profit organisation, all our team donate time and effort to ensure that no Dobie is left in need and that they all have a successful rescue and rehoming journey.
We rely on the support and generosity of our members to raise the funds we need to provide veterinary support to our Lincs dogs to ensure that when our Dobie is rehomed, they are in good health and that their rehoming journey is as stress free as possible.
We have a saying, “once a Lincs dog, always a Lincs dog”. It is so important for the dog and the new owner that they have the knowledge and confidence that rescue back up is there for them if they need it. This really underpins the values of Lincs Dobermann Rescue

Greenacres Rescue believes that every animal deserves a second chance, and with your support, we can hopefully give them just that.

- We provide vaccinations, flea & worm treatments, microchips and spay/neutering. Medical care and rehabilitation as necessary.
- We work alongside other rescues and organisations to help more dogs
- We stay in contact with all fosterers and adopters offering daily support and behavioural needs.

Though we primarily rescue Sighthounds – such as Greyhounds, Whippets and Lurchers in general – we have been known to occasionally take on other breeds. Our dogs are fully neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, deflead and given a full health check before being adopted.
As a non-profit organistation, Fall in Love with a Rescue strongly rely on public donations to help save and care for our dogs. We are also currently developing our network of fosterers and volunteers, so that we can save even more dogs, and give them another chance at life.
